Party in the City brings tens of thousands of people into Bath to discover music, places to eat and drink, and venues they may never have visited before. Venue partnership is free, with programming and promotional support from the Party in the City team.
What is Party in the City?
Party in the City marks the opening of festival season in Bath, with free live music involving more than 2,000 performers and an audience in the tens of thousands. Venues and spaces throughout the city host a wide range of live performances.
Why should I get involved with Party in the City?
Tens of thousands of people come into Bath city centre to eat, drink and enjoy live music. Visitors use the printed programme and mobile app to discover venues and performers, giving partners the opportunity to reach new audiences and encourage them to return.
How much does it cost to be a venue partner and what do I get?
There is no charge to become a venue partner. Party in the City will find and programme suitable artists, assign a Venue Ambassador, provide promotional materials, feature your venue in the printed programme and mobile app, and provide social media tools.
Can any venue join?
Yes, subject to agreeing to the conditions of joining and being within walking distance of Bath city centre. The team is not currently able to support venues beyond this area.
That sounds too good to be true. Why would you do this for me?
Party in the City is run by a charity whose aim is to fill every corner of the city centre with music everyone can enjoy. Artists waive their normal performance fees, audiences support the event through voluntary donations, and the event is supported by Bath BID and other organisations.
What does Party in the City expect from me as a venue partner?
Venue partners must allow free public access between 5pm and 10pm, cover costs associated with hosting live music including relevant licensing, support artists with appropriate facilities such as a suitable PA where possible, offer hospitality where they can, and support the event's marketing activity.
How do I apply to be a venue partner?
